Zion's first location on the prairie, from 1870 through 1891, is this unchurchlike structure. After the church building below is completed, this building serves as a school. If you look closely, you can almost see people in the building and a boy sitting on the front steps.

Zion's previous church building, which stood from 1891 through 1937, is described by a few people as "somewhat pretentious."
